We wanted to tell stories and make moves and shows like the ones we grew up with. That's where it began at least. We each had our own individual dream that brought us to Los Angeles. Through luck, missteps and happenstance, we each eventually worked our way into the entertainment industry. As they say, where there is a will, there is always a way. Our ways into the machine varied - some of us were set production assistants, some were producer and director assistants, some worked in the production offices. Regardless, we all learned how the process worked and kept working our way up into new experiences and positions, staying focused on the goal of eventually making our own stories. It was a dizzying couple of decades before the pandemic and the actors/writers strikes gave us something we hadn't had before - time to stop spinning on the wheel and work out how we could put together our own projects. That's when FMA was born, or forged, or invented. It was our turn to combine this wealth of knowledge and experience we had accumulated making projects for someone else and use it all for our own stories.
